Great upgrade from a stock head-unit : Pyle PLTS77DU 7-Inch Single-DIN In-Dash Motorized TFT/LCD Touchscreen Monitor Receiver with DVD/CD/MP3/MP4/USB/SD/AM-FM/RDS

This headunit is a great value. It does everything it says. For the price you can't beat it. When I first ordered it I was kinda nervous; My biggest concern was picture quality. I expected it to be very pixeled because of the low price and lower name brand. But the picture is great! The only thing that this unit doesn't have that higher end units do is GPS. But you can purchase an upgraded model that does. I don't need it since I have GPS in my Droid-x. The installation was a breeze. For anyone with any experience, it was very self explanatory. The manual is horrible as others said because it is translated from another language but all the wires are very clearly marked. There is a safety feature on this unit so that you can't watch video while driving. I thought it defeated the purpose of buying this unit; since I wanted video for my pasengers to watch while I drive. But don't worry it is VERY easy to bypass. All you must do is connect the pink "parking brake" wire to ANY ground on your vehicle. I must mention that this is illegal in the US so therefore I'm not telling you to do it. By the way I found a crappier unit in walmart that didn't have all the features this one has and it was $100 more! So definitely a great buy in my opinion. Oh, 1 more thing. I was a lil nervous playing a dvd while driving because I'm in the process of redoing the suspension in the truck that I have this installed in. So the ride is VERY rough and bumpy right now. BUT, my DVD NEVER skipped so far. Not even once. Hope this helps! Thank you everyone else for your feedback I really appreciate it to help me make informed buying decisions.

Great car radio : Dual XHD7720 In-Dash CD/MP3/WMA Player with Motorized Face, Remote, Built-in HD Radio Tuner, iTunes Tagging, iPod Cable, and 3.5mm Aux Input

This radio not only fit all of my needs, but was cheap too! The Aux port and the Usb drive are the perfect add ons I was finding for, and both work great. I am currently using a random off brand 16gb flash drive and it works flawlessly to play music off of.

Pro's - Hd radio is nice. I noticed other reviews for similar producs speaking of how when it is going in and out of Hd that it would repeat like 5 seconds and it was getting very annoying, that is not the case in my experience. When my radio goes out of Hd mode, you can only tell by sound capability (as well as finding at the display obviously), but the signal did not miss a beat. There was never a delay, it was barely even noticeable. someone else Pro is the Usb feature, astounding and works flawlessly thus far. Mp3 playback from a Cd is better than the radio I supplanted with this one. Some songs or files would randomly skip by in my old radio I believe based on exceeding a safe bet file name length, this radio will play all the Cd's I had previously made that would not be played in my other Mp3 playing radio. someone else pro of this is that the time is all the time displayed! The time is displayed in the upper right corner, and the main part of the display is changable to things like Artist, Track, Title, etc. But, the time is all the time in the upper right corner which I think should be that way with every radio! I was very pleased when I saw this.

Cons - The radio feels like it is kind of "cheaply" built. It sort of feels as if I am going to break it when I push some of the buttons. It's held up thus far though (2 months), so time will tell. someone else Con is the display. It's only one color, so it's kind of "blah", but I can live with that. The issue is that it is meant to be low in the dash. In my Explorer, it's slightly underneath my vision line, so it works ok, but the bottom of the words on the display get cut off by the lower panel, so if I want to read the full title, I have to sit up indubitably high and look down at it. Note, however, that the time is displayed in the upper right corner, so that is still visible, so if you are reasoning that you won't be able to see the time, you will. Nothing that should stop you from buying this radio, but just something to note. I also saw other reviews about this display not being readable in the sun...I personally do not have this problem. I drive an explorer, so the rear windows are tinted (factory tinted, not aftermarket tint), so I'm not sure if this has something to do with it, but sunlight, darkness, no issues reading the radio display. Those are indubitably the only cons I can think of.

Great sound quality, cheap price, Aux port, Usb port, factory was simplistic (about the same as any other car stereo, it took me approximately 20 minutes to swap my old aftermarket in for this one). I would say this is a great buy!

this indash receiver is great for the price. You get a dvd,am/fm radio, cd-rw mp3,sd card, and usb multi-decoding plus it plays videos via usb or sd storage. This model has only three functioning modes wich are radio,cd,sd/usb.....it does not consist of gps, tv, bluetooth,or cd changer option. But that does not matter it has alot of options for each of the sources, it features separate bass and treble and equilibrium and loud boost.the touch screen highlight is also very responsive just know that you will not be development any adjustments while driving, the main menu lets you adjust the screen brightnes and contrast, when playing a dvd movie it has an additional one brightnes and difference level, it is just very well put except for the gui its a bit crappy. The output level is okay it does not produce distorted sound, it is very well balanced, i recomend this receiver because it has a low price and has sufficient features to claim its own braging rights.
